12/15/00 (Friday) 10 days to Christmas

Don watching for shallow waterWe head out from Grand Cay around 9:30 for a long run South.  My sister-in-law Diane is coming in to join us at Treasure Cay on Saturday and we have about 60 miles to go to get there.

 

Our destination for tonight is Allan's-Pensacola Cay.  It is another wonderful day and the seas are smooth with a light breeze from the Southeast.  We run by engine only all the day and eventually reach Allan's-Pensacola Cay about 5:30PM.Ron at the helm of Seaclusion  Ron tries his hand at fishing during the trip but only manages to catch sea weed and once he managed to rap the fishing line around my neck!

We took the dingy into shore and explored the island.  Allen's-Pensacola Cay is uninhabited with a nice beach.
