THE BAHAMAS ADVENTURE
Page 13
12/20/00 (Wednesday)
The day breaks cold and overcast. We will stay at Treasure Cay all day
today. My sailing adventure is over and I'm just waiting to go home
tomorrow.
Ron takes the ferry over to Green Turtle Cay to pick up his outboard motor
for the dingy. It cost him $90.00 for the repair work, much less then he
thought. Although when he put it back on the dingy, it did not work right.
It kept stalling out at idle. Ron called Dolphin Marine on the radio and
he said it need an idle adjustment. He would call ahead and make
arrangements at March Harbor.
I
just hung out on the boat today and watched the boats go by. Mostly
sailboats but a few nice trawlers ( more my speed ) also cruised passed. I
started reading a book I picked up today called "The Story of The
Bahamas" by Paul Albury. Very interesting stuff. I was a little
home sick and wished I was leaving today and not tomorrow.
We had steak for dinner. Grilled on the charcoal grill that Ron
attached to the back of the boat. After dinner we played Crazy Eights
again and like last night, I won both games.
Well tomorrow I fly out. All I need to do is pack my still tomato
sauced duffle bag and I'm ready to go!
